Burger Boat Company, founded in 1863, designs and builds custom aluminum motor yachts ranging in size from 82’-165’ (25m-50m). The vessels built today successfully blend tradition and modern technology as we strive to maintain the integrity of Burger’s rich history and customize each vessel to satisfy the specific needs of each individual client. Every project begins with a "clean sheet of paper" in order to create a completely unique and personal vessel incorporating all the features, systems, and particular requirements for each client.
Over 200 craftspeople, designers, engineers and support personnel work together at Burger’s Manitowoc, Wisconsin shipyard to create these handcrafted masterpieces that typically take between 15-24 months to build. At any given moment, there are four to six yachts under construction in various stages of completion and three to four yachts are launched each year. To illustrate the level of quality of our yachts, just the exterior finish of a 120’ Burger yacht generally requires 25,000-30,000 man-hours or 15 craftspeople for a full year. |
